Abbé Bérenger Saunière (1852-1917) became mysteriously and fabulously rich after finding a hidden parchment in his Church dedicated to Mary Magdalene, and thus the mystery is born. What was it the priest found to turn him from a penniless priest into a man of wealth?

Treasure, Tombs, Secret Codes and Hidden Clues, a Brutal Murder, the Knights Templar and 2000 year old Relics, are all connected the the Mystery to be solved. It could be the premise for a new archaeological thriller. After carrying out research, Ben hypothesised what the priest may have found and how he may have left clues for someone in the future to find his secret. This book details some possible artifacts and a tomb scenario he may have found and some of the steps that would have to be taken to verify the discoveries as genuine. The result is an exciting blend of fact and fiction.

What begins as a treasure hunt and a bit of fun and adventure, leads an Englishman to the tiny French village of Rennes-le-Château, where he unlocked a mysterious puzzle set up by a priest 100 years ago.

This collection of Bérenger Saunière’s Rennes-le-Chateau postcards has taken the author almost 6 years to complete and was only finalised with the purchase of an album from someone who lives in France, near to Rennes-le-Château.

The postcards feature images of the interior of Saunière’s Mary Magdalene church and his Rennes-le-Château domain shortly after he completed his renovations. Thus these are the earliest images available. Also included are the Hautpoul Château and some nearby views.

The postcards sold for 10ct and seemed to have been placed for sale in various places in and around Rennes-le-Château, including the nearby village of Rennes-les-Bains, where Saunière seemed to have done a brisk trade in selling them to visitors come to bathe in the thermal waters located there. He comments in a letter to a friend that: “All the bathers take the complete collection. The cards have so much success that I can hardly keep up supplying them"
